Where is Neighbor’s Garage planning to launch?
Launching in Westhaven, Franklin, Tennessee. Westhaven is the intended neighborhood launch focus, not a claim that paid borrowing or pickup is live. California demo locations are unrelated sample inventory, not Westhaven stock. No expansion area or launch date is promised.
What can I do on Neighbor’s Garage now?
Browse the sample catalog, create and manage your own listings, and send requests to eligible lenders. Neighbor’s Garage is in secured prelaunch: credit purchases, paid borrowing, pickup, daily billing and payouts are unavailable. Do not collect an item yet.
Are the demo tools actually available to borrow?
No. Listings labeled Demo are sample inventory, with illustrative locations, ratings and availability. They cannot receive borrow requests. A listing labeled Lender unavailable also cannot receive requests. California samples are unrelated to the planned Westhaven, Franklin, Tennessee launch; they are not local available stock.
How much does borrowing cost?
Listings show a whole-number daily price in credits. Pending and accepted requests do not charge credits. Public credit purchases and daily billing are disabled; the displayed price is not an offer to pay or collect an item now.
Can I buy credits or receive a military or student bonus?
Not now. Public credit purchases are unavailable. Selecting or describing military or student eligibility does not grant a bonus or verified status. Do not send money outside the app to complete a borrow.
How do requests, approval and cancellation work?
For an eligible listing, sign in and send a request. The lender can accept or decline it. You can cancel your pending request or accepted reservation from your profile. Approval does not enable pickup, and no credits are charged for pending or accepted requests.
Can I collect an approved item or have it shipped?
No. Pickup remains unavailable until the required payment, identity, photo-evidence and billing protections are operational. The intended model is local handoff, not shipping; there is no shipping service. Do not collect an item during prelaunch.
How do I lend tools locally?
Create and verify an account, then choose Open My Garage and complete the location and safety checklist. From your profile, add item photos, a clear name, an accurate description and a daily credit price. You can edit or pause your listing. Listing an item does not currently enable paid lending, collection or payouts.
Which profile information is public?
Public profile pages show a limited neighbor profile, including display name, username, bio, city/region and public ratings/photos when supplied. Exact address, contact information, onboarding safety answers and credit balances are not part of that public profile projection. Avoid putting private information in your public bio, description or uploaded photos.
Are identity verification, insurance or damage protection active?
Do not treat an account or a listing as proof of verified identity, insurance or damage coverage. Identity checks, guided handoff photos and damage claims are not available for borrowing. Pickup is disabled while these prerequisites remain incomplete.
Can lenders earn money or get payouts now?
No. Payments, lender payouts and payout holds are not enabled for public use. Creating a listing or receiving approval does not create an earning or a payout.
